Thank you so much to everyone who came to audition. I want to applaud you all, as I saw excellent work all the way around. I always like to take this moment to remind you that there are only so many roles and that many factors go into casting, many of which are beyond your control. Whether you did or did not receive a role in Peter, I want to remind everyone that James and the Giant Peach auditions are August 10th and I look forward to seeing everyone bring their best. Please remember not to look for validation in a cast list, it is not a determination on whether you are talented or not, many times it is if you fit the role with the concept that is being presented.
That being said, please join me in congratulating the cast of Peter and the Starcatcher. I will be sending you the current cutting for Peter in your emails this evening. If you do not receive it by midnight please send me an email letting me know (Micki_ankiel@gwinnett.k12.ga.us) .

Thank you so much for auditioning for the Wedding Singer. Needless to say, but I'll say it anyway this was not an easy decision and I have done my best to feature as many people as possible including a large ensemble, this will be the largest cast to date. My expectations are that you will rehearse in a professional manner so we can accomplish all we need to in the time we allot. Your should also expect that you will not be in every number. So do not expect to be in every dance or song as 40 people on stage is a whole lot! We are very excited to work with all of you on this fun and exciting 80s dance crazy musical. If your name is in bold then your casting is conditional upon receiving your production contract signed by a parent, with your conflicts. If conflict list is extensive or directly interferes with tech or shows the offer of a role may be rescinded. These were due at the audition, so while the situation is not ideal I tried not to eliminate you based on that situation. Production contract is under the Parent Page under the tab handbooks and contract page. Without further ado, here if the list. Please sign up for the remind text @mvtwed to 81010. Be sure to stop my door and initial to accept your role.

Please take notes on the updated Almost Maine schedule. It is under the calendar tab.
The following are called back for either Vocal callbacks, cold reads, or both. Your deliniation will be given to you at the callback. Please expect to be there from 2:30-4:45pm. Remember if you are not called back it does not mean you are not cast.
The following are called for the dance callbacks. Feel free to wear your best 80s attire, but you must come dressed to move. No jeans! And you are not allowed to go barefoot (no exceptions). THE DANCE YOU ARE LEARNING IS VERY FAST AND MOVEMENT INTENSE. Plan on having a snack before you show up and bring a water bottle. We are looking to see how quickly you can pick up and how well you can PERFORM the choreography. Not just if you can dance it. Callbacks are from 2:30-4:30pm. Be punctual. If you are not called back it does not mean you are not in the show, it just means I do not need to see you dance.
Thank you to all who auditioned! It was so wonderful to see new faces and veterans alike putting together some really good monologues and cold reads. We tried to spread the wealth as much as we could, but we also have to honor the playwright’s intentions of doubling. Originally there are only supposed to be about 4 people in the various roles doubling. This is part of the charm of the show and we did not want to eliminate it completely. Unfortunately, that means despite all the really good auditions, some people did not make it into the cast for a variety of reasons. I hope you will take this as an encouragement to keep working hard and continue to come out and audition for the various opportunities. Below the cast you will see honorable mentions, these are people I was really impressed with, and while for one reason or another were just edged out for casting. Also, don’t forget Wedding Singer auditions are Jan 5th, signups are on my door.
For those cast, you need to be memorized January 5th. I will send out a rehearsal schedule on January 3rd. If for some reason you are unwilling/unable to accept your role please send me a remind or an email by the end of the day today. Scripts are available on your e-class. Thank you and look forward to working with you.
