Rehearsal Schedule is now posted under the MVT Calendar tab, scroll down to the bottom. Updates will be posted by Saturday prior at 10pm. Be sure to check them.
I also want to make you aware due to the time schedule Linsey and Benny have to move fast. This means when they teach you something, you retain it. Also, they cannot spend a lot of time cleaning up your stuff. For example, Linsey only has 3 cleaning rehearsals. I have an even smaller window for blocking. You must come in ready to work!
Furthermore, if you are one of the few that is doubled over in the shows you need to look at the calendar and be sure that you can handle the time commitment. If not, I need to know tomorrow. Furthermore, if you make this commitment, you must stay on top of your schoolwork! This is imperative. If you need help figuring out how this can be done, then please come see me during your Bear Time so we can prioritize and make a plan. If you slip past a C average I will enforce mandatory study hall. I know you love theatre, but smart actors make the best actors, and education is very important to me and I will not let you ignore in favor of a show.
Let's get to work.
Full schedule for shows should be posted tomorrow pending confirmation from Linsey and Benny. If you are in both shows realize that your time must be spent between rehearsal and homework. You must prioritize and be on top of everything. If you do not feel you can do this, then you need to not accept your roles.

DO NOT OPEN UNTIL YOU READ THIS IN ENTIRETY!
Please understand that these shows are small in comparison to the Spring shows, we had to get very discerning in casting. It does not mean you are not talented, and that you will not be successful in the program. We just cannot accommodate large shows on abbreviated rehearsal schedules. I encourage you all to come out to the auditions for the spring shows. Also, we will be looking for vocalists for the bluegrass band for Barbary Allen so get your bluegrass voices ready to go if you are interested. If you are cast as anyone outside of Barbary, Widder, Fancy, William, and Nate you will be eligible for that as well.
And remember we are all a team here, we support each other no matter casting. I know there will be some who are disappointed and if there was a way for everyone to be 100% happy with casts list I would pay everything I have to find the answer, but as of now it is not so. Do not let disappointment rule you. Celebrate others' accomplishments as you want them to do for you. Love and invest in the people in your program, be there for each other in good times and bad. You are always welcome to work on production, if you want to still lend a hand, fill out a tech form that you can find under the Audition page and we will do our best to get you involved.
If you are on the production list then you need to initial by your name on my door Monday to accept your role. And I need completed production contracts on Monday. You can find these under the handbook and contract page that is under the parent page tab. If I do not have these two things by Monday at the end of school, I will assume I need to replace you. Be on the look out for rehearsal schedules tomorrow or Monday. Remember if you did not put it down as a conflict it is not excused. I guarantee there will not be rehearsal on Monday. Barbary cast you may pick up scripts on Monday, Drood on Tuesday.
Congratulations to all who auditioned. Let's get to work.
Welcome to our new Drood Members:
Rosa/Deidre: Madison Watts
Bazzard/Phillip Bax: Hampton Hoover
If you are available please join us for music rehearsal this Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30-4:30 pm (If you are unavailable please let Mrs. Ankiel know). Also please go to the audition page and return the production contract signed by a parent along with your conflicts so we can get a rehearsal schedule together.
Please see the post below for dance callbacks for Wednesday 8/24. (Remember just because you are not called back does not mean you are not in the show, but that we do not need to see more)
